We are looking for someone who can express him/herself in:
- English - proposals, specs, and SOWs; client communications; support
- SQL - streaming analytics for customer solutions
- Java/C++ - SQLstream adapters and UDXes; custom client apps
- Web UI technologies - Ruby, PHP
- diagrams - dataflow, solution architecture
The ideal candidate is:
- a product-oriented developer with customer-facing experience
- a careful listener for customer requirements, desirements, and the extras that can "wow" a customer
- a self-motivated collaborative team player
- adept at debugging/troubleshooting
- experienced with data analysis, performance analysis, statistics
- familiar with multiple DBs, e.g. MySQL, Postgres, SQL-Server, Oracle
- familiar with Business Intelligence products: dashboards, reporting tools
- familiar with system scripting languages, e.g. bash, Python, Perl, Ruby
- has the ability/desire to operate in both pre- and post-sales modes
- has an entrepreneurial attitude
- has a Computer Science degree from a top university
- 10+ years relevant experience
A senior candidate adds:
- project management experience
- solution architecture, data integration
- sales presentation and project discovery skills
