SQLstream's patented ground-breaking Relational Asynchronous Messaging (RAM) technology has made possible its current product offerings.

Technology

RAM SQLstream's patented technology, Relational Asynchronous Messaging (RAM), has foundations in the world of Relational Databases, but RAM offers a fresh approach to managing and processing dynamic data that flow across an enterprise. RAM represents such data streams as time-stamped messages to be processed using familiar relational operators augmented to handle time windows.

RAMMS

SQLstream's RAM Management System (RAMMS) makes it possible for you to create and manage RAM applications.

A RAMMS provides the next generation in Messaging Middleware as a high-level declarative messaging management system.

Instead of low-level point-to-point or topic-based Publish-Subscribe operations, SQLstream's RAMMS supports high-level subscriptions to relational queries that are auto-optimized.

Instead of operating message-by-message or record-by-record, SQLstream RAMMS optimizes operations over potentially thousands of messages at a time.

This auto-optimization provides not only greater throughput while maintaining low latency, but also enables higher-level constructs and queries like those found in RDBMS such as Oracle™ and DB2™.

Offerings

SQLstream's current product offerings are the first-to-market based on its ground-breaking Relational Asynchronous Messaging (RAM) technology. This technology enables early development of complex event processing applications based on familiar SQL relational queries enhanced for time-windowed stream and table operations.

SQLstream's RAMMS The RAMMS consists of a Control Node for managing the entire RAMMS, including all of the metadata and stream processing, and RAMPs (Relational Asynchronous Message Processors) for processing data streams.
SQLstream CDC (Change Data Capture) SQLstream's RDBMS CDC adapters automate instrumentation of RDBMS, reading the database schemas to extract their metadata and automate the capture of transactions to selected tables (insert, update, upsert, and delete).
SQLstream Adapters and Drivers SQLstream's rich set of adapters allow easy input and output of data into its RAMMS, along with transformation of streams.
SQLstream Software Development Kit (SDK) SQLstream's SDK enables the easy construction of any required adapter, making SQLstream's RAMMS extensible to any kind of processing logic that can enhance and extend its already powerful SQL engine.

These products enable you to

  • dramatically shorten your “time-to-information”™ for critical business activities,
  • dramatically shorten your time to market for developing new and updating existing applications and services,
  • insulate applications from data sources,
  • recombine and reuse data from existing applications to feed new services, and
  • minimize unwanted end-to-end latency from your IT processing and systems.
